Not to spoil too much, but while I obviously enjoy drawing all these make-out scenes (almost as much as I enjoy drawing Samona), they actually do have a deeper significance for the plot … :3
Oh yeah, and this will probably be the longest Driftwood chapter ever.
I suppose there is not much point, plot-wise, in the first scene on this page, but I just couldn’t stop it from pouring out on the page … V`(oo)´V

Yeah, I really can’t stand it when comics that involve a love story spend a dozen volumes building up to the EPIC KISSING SCENE, and then it turns out that the kissing scene is just one measly panel (and no tongue!). Bah!
SO. FRENCH KISSING IN FICTION.
Considering how relatively hard it was to find any good reference material, it might actually not be so common. (Correct me if I’m wrong :3 …)
I wonder if the apparent lack of (nice and good!) French kissing in visual fiction is because it’s perceived as somehow “inappropriate”. As for me, I couldn’t not use it in this scene, because both my own first (conscious) make out session, and the first make out session I have administered to the one previously unkissed guy that I have had the privilege of depriving of his kissing virginity — and to whom I gave the same advice as Aeron gives Willie here :3 –, involved French kissing.
